World War ll was one of the biggest and most horrific historic events in the world. More than 75 million people have lost their lives, and it seemed like everyone was against everyone.
Besides people who gave their lives for their country and people they loved, there are some people who will be remembered as heroes in a maybe different way.
One of them is Oskar Schindler, who was a German industrialist and a member of the Nazi Party.
Putting that aside, he saved the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust. They had worked in his ammunitions and enamelware factories in occupied Poland.
Oskar was an amazing man, an inspiration, who used his wealth and factories to save so many Jewish people.
We can proudly say that this man was not a hero because he was a millionaire or because he was a successful businessman, but because he was willing to give everything he had in order to save so many lives.
Those people were not his friends, family, not even acquaintances, yet he spent every dollar he had to save them.
For him sick, old, handicapped people were not useless. He didn't see them as a typical manpower, he saw the human side in all of them, knowing that as a German, the only thing he could do was to hate them, and yet he didn't.
If you didn't have a chance, you should watch a movie called " Schindler's list " to learn more about this amazing man.
He was and forever will be an inspiration to all of us. He taught us how to be kind, selfless and how human life has no price and is above wealth or any kind of power.
